Office visits:

  • Your first appointment

At your first appointment you can expect to receive a complete set of dental x-rays, a full comprehensive oral evaluation and a gentle but thorough cleaning.

X-rays:  X-rays can diagnose problems otherwise unnoticed, such as damage to jawbones, impacted teeth, abscesses, cysts or tumors, and decay between the teeth.

Full oral evaluation: Your dentist will perform a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and mouth, looking for signs of disease or other problems. His or her goal is to help maintain your good oral health and to prevent problems from becoming serious, by identifying and treating them as soon as possible.

Cleaning (Prophylaxis): Using special instruments, your dental hygienist will scrape below the gum line, removing built-up plaque and tartar that can cause gum disease, cavities, bad breath and other problems.

  • Regular Check ups

To ensure your oral health is as healthy as possible and that any existing conditions are thoroughly maintained, our doctors recommend coming at least twice a year for a cleaning and exam with check up x-rays (taken once a year).
